I have recently worked with Richard Lee on a residential development project with significant technical and planning difficulties. The development site is situated in a conservation area and surrounds a grade 2 listed building.
Throughout the process, Richard had to deal with a very intransigent Planning Authority which required all his diplomatic skills to manoeuvre the application to a position where it eventually won full Officer approval prior to Planning Committee. The application was refused at Committee but taking Richards advice, I appealed to the Secretary of State. The appeal submission was measured and factual and won the full support of the Inspector resulting in the appeal being upheld and a 100% award for costs against the Planning Authority, something which I understand is very rare. In addition to Richards substantial knowledge of planning regulations etc., he has built up a network of both knowledgeable and experienced experts covering the whole spectrum of planning, design and highways issues, which he is able to call upon and enlist.
I have no hesitation in recommending Richard Lee to anyone who is about to embark on a similar project as mine.
